...Changes the World
And we're done!!! It is absolutely crazy to think that this team has been in India for a month now. Last night the team went through all of the new foods we've tried and Tamil words we've learned in anticipation for next year's India team and it finally struck that this project is really over. As we wrapped up our project, I was able to collaborate with our cultural advisor and hold a focus group with these 6 families to talk about how it was working with PUC, their thoughts on the importance of concrete houses, and their desires for future projects. Although we were continually worried that this project wouldn't finish, we were actually able to complete it a day early! 6 foundations, 6 water closets, and 6 happy families with a safe place to call home for countless generations.
We would also like to take this opportunity to thank all of our donors for contributing to this project!
From our two sponsors Ek Disha and The Rizwan Adatia Foundation to all of the support from family, friends, the Student Learning Advisory Board and the International Office. Without your help we would've never been able to complete this project. Thanks to you these homes will give the families the stability needed to improve their health, education, and livelihood!
We are very fortunate to have had this opportunity and it's great to see how this project has progressed because of the hard work of everyone involved. We not only completed the project but we also gained a new family in the process.
So thank you everyone and Hookem Horns! :)
